Thinly slice onions into half-rings.
In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt.
Add water gradually to make a thick batter.
Mix in sliced onions until well coated.
Heat oil in a deep pan or wok.
Drop spoonfuls of onion mixture into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
