Golden-brown, crunchy onion rings with a light batter coating.
Slice onions into 1cm thick rings and separate layers.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and paprika.
Gradually add water while whisking until batter is smooth.
Heat oil in a deep pot to 180°C.
Dip onion rings in batter, allowing excess to drip off.
Carefully place in hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
